The commencement ceremony of China-aid Renovation Project of Comorian People’s Palace was held on December 28th, 2019 at the People’s Palace at Moroni, capital in Comoros. China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation (abbr. as CQEC) undertakes the engineering design and management task of this project.
Chinese Ambassador, Mr. He Yanjun, Secretary of the Chinese Embassy, Ms. Wang Cui, Parliament Deputy Speaker of Comoros, Mr. Maoulana Charif, Representatives of CQEC and Chinese construction company, Comorian mainstream medias, along with hundreds of local people attended this ceremony. Chinese Ambassador, Mr. He Yanjun and the Parliament Deputy Speaker, Mr. Maoulana Charif addressed in the ceremony and declared official kick-off of the project.
Chinese government will be responsible for the renovation of the People’s Palace including its internal and external surfaces, hallway, office area and congress hall; replacement of old equipments in the Palace; and constructing a new diesel generator room, a new rainwater collecting pond and a new fire-fighting pond for the Palace. The overall renovation floorage is 4460m2, in which the Palace building covers 4396m2. The construction period will be 15 months from the kick-off day.
CQEC will make full use of our experience on project engineering design and project management services accumulated from the successful execution of 46 China-aided projects in 27 countries, work closely with all participants of the project to ensure the quality, progress and safety, so as to create an excellent project and put new glamour onto the Sino-Comorian friendship.
