On August 9th 2021, the China-aid Renovation Project of People’s Palace of Comoros has passed the technical acceptance and the Acceptance Certificate has been signed by representatives of both Chinese side and Comorian side. The project will be handed over to Comorian side very soon.
Mr. Mohamed Ahamada Baco, Parliament Deputy Speaker of Comoros, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Assoumani, Parliament Secretary-General of Comoros, Representative of the Secretariat for Cooperation Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Comoros, Representatives of Project Management Enterprise and Chinese Main Contractor, Comorian mainstream medias attended the technical acceptance ceremony. The Parliament Deputy Speaker addressed and praised the excellent quality of the project, strict and sound effect of epidemic prevention measures, professional performance of the project personnel.
China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation (abbr. as CQEC) is the Project Management Enterprise by undertaking the engineering design and project management works of this project. The project included renovation of internal and external surfaces, hallway, office area and congress hall; replacement of old equipments in the Palace; and construction of a new diesel generator room, a new rainwater collecting pond and a new fire-fighting pond for the Palace. The overall renovation floorage is 4460m2, of which the Palace building covered 4396m2. The project construction was officially started on December 1, 2019 and completed on July 10, 2021 even though site teams had to face severe impact of Pandemic COVID-19 during almost all the project construction period. On July 22, 2021 the project has passed acceptance inspection of Chinese side and has been marked “Excellent Grade”.
CQEC made full use of our experience on project engineering design and project management service accumulated from the successful execution of 46 China-aid projects in 27 countries, worked closely with all participants of the project to ensure the quality, progress and safety, therefore an excellent project has been completed and new glamour will be colored onto the Sino-Comorian friendship.
